Fly Over at Arayidathpalam:

KZD-RT-01 - Fly Over at Arayidathpalam - Work completed & opened for traffic on 01-01-2010 By Hon.Chief Minister Sri.V.S.Achuthanandan.

This work is aimed to reduce heavy traffic congestion in the arayidathpalam junction as this is one of the Major gate way to  Kozhikode from three sides. This is the opening way to the Medical college from the City. This junction lies in the Mavoor Road which is busiest road in the city and having dense traffic in day and night as the Private Bus stand and KSRTC Bus stand are lying in this Road. Also this Road is a commercial center in the city.

Over Bridge has thirteen spans in 337 meters and approach roads. It has 12 Piers and two Abutments. It crosses the Mini-by pass and Cannolly canal.  

KZD-RT- 01 Upgradation of Mini Bypass - Arayidathpalam-Eranhipalam Road - 2.900m

This Road starts from Arayidathpalam and ends at Eranhipalam Junction. It is a portion of  Mini by pass from Meenchantha to West Hill, The present proposal for the work is to widen and improve this stretch of road into a four line Traffic having both sides drainage, foot path, Hand rail and central median. 7 meter carriage way is provided on both side of the median. This road is to be developed as a model road having proper street lighting, planting avenue trees, providing pedestrian crossing at necessary points - 

 The work completed except 200M and opened for traffic on 24-07-2010 by Hon.Minister for LSGD Sri.Paloli Muhammed Kutty.
